SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING

Please include day and evening telephone contact numbers so that we have the best chance to contact you in case of questions.

Please allow up to 12 to 18 weeks for delivery after we receive your order. We will usually make your hull or fittings only after an order is placed. Due to space limitations, we cannot guarantee that a hull will be in stock unless ordered from our "in stock" list. We do our best to reduce order time whenever possible, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Most of our hulls are shipped via FedEx Ground in the US and Canada. If your address is a R.R or .R.D., please check with FedEx to get directions for delivery. Please include any directions as well as your telephone number to assist the drive to find you. We do try and use the US Postal Service whenever possible to these special locations, as well as for smaller orders.

Hull Orders: Please add 15% for shipping and handling charges in the Continental United States. Our Canadian customers need to add 25% for Shipping and Handling. (Note that this does not include any brokerage fees or import taxes). For larger orders, please contact for a shipping quote, as we can often combine orders in a single box to save on shipping.

Note: Some hulls marked special shipping go a special FedEx 70 rate due to dimensional billing. There is a $ 70.00 minimum shipping charge on these hulls, which includes most of our cruisers and battleships, as well as the T-2 tanker.

Note: A few of our hulls are too large for FedEx Ground, and must be shipped via Air Freight, usually by United Air Lines. Shipping charges on these hulls are paid by the customer on arrival of the order. These hulls are shipped F.O.B Long Beach CA. They will arrive at an airport, where you can either pick them up, or make further arrangements to have them delivered to your home. We sometimes use other airlines for certain destinations, as they can be cheaper - we always look for the most economical way to ship for you.

Fittings Orders: For all fittings only orders, please include 10% for shipping and handling, with a minimum charge of $ 9.00 in the Continental US only. For Alaska and Hawaii, please add 15% with a $ 9.00 minimum. In Canada, include 20% with a $ 12.00 minimum. All other countries, please email us for a quote.

Overseas Orders: For all overseas orders, (including Canada), the shipping charges will be paid by the customer either in advance or upon arrival of your order. You, the customer, and not Scale Shipyard, are responsible for all custom duties, brokerage fees or any other fees and taxes. If you know of an importer in your country that you wish to handle your order, please include all information on them with Telephone number to include on your Airbill. You cannot include too much information on your order. Fittings orders, please add 20% with a $ 20 minimum shipping. We usually send small orders via US Airmail.

Payment for Orders: Payment must accompany all orders. We do not ship C.O.D. You may pay via personal check, money order or send cash at your own risk. We also accept Paypal for in-stock items. Please contact us before transmitting payment, which should be sent to scalshpyrd@aol.com

Important Notice: ALL OF OUR PRODUCTS ARE MADE TO ORDER. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. If you have questions about any item we offer, please contact us before ordering.

Damage Claims: If you order is damaged during shipment, please note that with the driver if at all possible. Contact us within 24 hours for claim instructions. Your order will be replaced in a reasonable amount of time. A damaged shipment is not a reason for a refund.

Any order that is cancelled or returned to us without prior approval is subject to a 25% cancellation/restocking fee.

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS PLEASE REMEMBER TO ADD 8.25% STATE SALES TAX TO YOUR TOTAL ORDER, INCLUDING SHIPPING FEES.
